Bass Museum of Art

Located in the heart of Miami Beach, the Bass Museum of Art offers a range of dynamic contemporary art exhibitions, complemented by education classes and public programs.   Now in its 51st year, the Bass Museum of Art is currently undergoing an interior expansion that will increase programmable space by almost 50%.  This will allow the Bass to offer more exhibition and education programs with greater efficiency, improve the visitor experience and cultivate a new generation of patrons.  The renovation is expected to be complete in fall, 2016.

During the yearlong construction, the museum continues to bring world-class art and art education to the community through vital partnerships with other cultural organizations.  bassX is a series of artist projects held in the museum's satellite gallery at the Miami Beach Regional Library, located at 227 22nd Street, across the street from the museum. New work by Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury will be on view at bassX during Miami Art Week.  Top selections from the museum’s collection of Renaissance and Baroque works are on view at the University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum in Coral Gables, which is presenting Durer to Rubens: Northern European Art from The Bass Museum through July 2016.  For more information, please visit
